This fee covers both parts of the clinic – online session & the field session, which is July 12 @ Railroad Park (Whistlemania)
Attendees will receive:
Full uniform (yellow jersey, referee shorts, socks, flags, red/yellow cards – pick up before you leave the complex. $90 value
North Texas Soccer Referee “merch” bag, which includes a black dry-fit t-shirt. $40 value
You will receive a 2026 badge this day. This badge allows you to work the rest of the 2025 year and ALL of 2026.

5. Start/finish the online lessons
Please note, registering for the July 12 clinic @ Railroad Park, you must complete your online lessons in full before July 10 and attend the clinic on July 12.

This will sell out. Please know that North Texas Soccer will offer entry level clinics AFTER July 12, beginning July 26. Cost of registration is $80. These clinics do not include a uniform, or “merch” bag.

A 2026 license allows a new referee to officiate games for the remainder of 2025 and all of 2026.
🏅 How to Become a USSF Referee
🔹 Minimum Age: 13
To become a licensed USSF Referee, you must complete both parts of the certification process:
✅ Part 1: Online Course
You must complete all modules before moving to the next step.
✅ Part 2: In-Person Field Session
Once your online modules are complete, the “ONLINE LESSONS” button will change to “PICK A CLINIC.” You can then choose an available in-person session.
Session Length: 3.5 hours
Topics Covered:
- Referee and Assistant Referee mechanics
- Teamwork and pre-game duties
- Sideline behavior management
- Offside, dropped balls, penalty kicks, handball
- Uniforms and how to get assigned to games
✅ Final Step: Certification
You must complete both the online course and the in-person field session to receive your official USSF referee license.
