Grassroots Courses
"D" License

"C" License

North Texas Soccer manages National courses through the U.S. Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC). All aspects of the course, including registration, completion of course pre-requisite licensing, submission of coursework, evaluation of candidates, and communication between instructors, administrators, and candidates will be conducted through the DCC. In order to participate in a National License course, you must enroll in the DCC and set up your coach’s profile. There is no charge to enroll in the DCC. When enrolling in the DCC, you must provide all requested information, including full name, date of birth, email address, phone number, and mailing address. You may enroll in the DCC here

 
U.S. Soccer Grassroots Courses

U.S. Soccer has released four new Grassroots Courses that take the place of the former National E License course. The four Grassroots Courses are based on playing format:  4v4, 7v7, 9v9, and 11v11. Each course is offered in an online format and in an in-person format. North Texas Soccer is in the process of scheduling courses; details will be published as courses are scheduled.

Grassroots 4v4 In Person Course, April 20, 2018, 5:30 pm – 9:30 pm

Course Pre-Requisites:  In order to register for the course a candidate must be at least 16 years old and must complete the U.S. Soccer online introduction to the Grassroots courses. This free online introductory module is available in the U.S. Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC).

Candidates must attend all sessions of the course in their entirety in order to be eligible to earn the Grassroots 4v4 In Person License.

Grassroots 9v9 In Person Course presented by Kernow Storm FC, May 18, 2018, 6:00 pm – 10:00 pm

Course Pre-Requisites:  In order to register for the course a candidate must be at least 16 years old and must complete the U.S. Soccer online introduction to the Grassroots courses. This free online introductory module is available in the U.S. Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC).

Grassroots 11v11 In Person Course presented by Kernow Storm FC, May 19, 2018, 8:00 am – 12:00 pm

U.S. Soccer National “D” License Course

National “D” License course presented by Fort Worth Youth SA:  June 8-10, 2018, and July 14-15, 2018

Course Pre-Requisites:  The “D” License course is open to all applicants who are at least 16 years old and who have earned a minimum of three of U.S. Soccer’s Grassroots Licenses in the form of two in-person courses and one online course:

  1. Two in-person courses, one of which must be the 11v11 course
  2. One online course across any of the four Grassroots levels:  4v4, 7v7, 9v9, 11v11
     

A candidate who has earned the National F License through the online course previously offered by U.S. Soccer is not required to complete #2 above and will be eligible to register for a National D License course after completing #1 above.

A candidate who has earned a National “E” License and who has held that license for a minimum of six months is eligible to register for a National D License course without completing #1 or #2 above. In order to register for the “D” license course, a candidate holding an “E” License must complete the U.S. Soccer online introduction to the Grassroots courses. This free online introductory module is available in the U.S. Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC).

Course Schedule:  

Candidates will attend course sessions held over two weekends. Candidates must attend all course sessions in their entirety on both weekends to be eligible to earn the National “D” License. No exceptions.

First Weekend:

Friday, June 8, 2018; 6:00 pm -- 10:00 pm
Saturday, June 9, 2018; 9:00 am – 7:30 pm
Sunday, June 10, 2018; 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

Second Weekend:

Saturday, July 14, 2018; 8:00 am – 7:30 pm
Sunday, July 15, 2018; 8:00 am – 6:00 pm

U.S. Soccer National “C” License Course

May 20-27, 2018, and August 10-12, 2018:  National C License course hosted by North Texas Soccer

Course pre-requisites:  Candidates must be at least 18 years old, must be actively coaching, and must have earned a U.S. Soccer National “D” License on or before May 20, 2017. There is a waiver application process for a coach who holds certain foreign licenses or has three years coaching experience, at any level, and three years playing experience with a Senior National Team and/or three years playing experience on a FIFA-recognized 1st Division outdoor professional team. Coaching and playing experience must be visible in the coach’s profile in the U.S. Soccer Digital Coaching Center (DCC). Waiver requests for this course must be submitted through North Texas Soccer in order to be considered for this course. Candidates must attend all sessions of the course in their entirety in order to be eligible to earn the National C License. During the Instructional Phase of the course, May 20-27, sessions will be held  3:00 pm – 9:00 pm on May 20, 8:00 am – 9:00 pm on May 21-26, and 8:00 am – 1:00 pm on May 27. The final schedule for the Evaluation Phase of the course, August 10-12, 2018, is to be determined; plan to attend sessions 8:00 am – 9:00 pm on August 10-11, and 9:00 am – 3:00 pm on August 12. (Times are subject to change.)

Registration Fee: $1,500.00

Registration fee must be paid in full at time of registration and the fee does not include transportation, accommodations, or meals.

US Youth Soccer National Youth Coaching Course
The National Youth Coaching Course is designed to provide club directors of coaching, youth coaches, physical education teachers, and soccer administrators with the knowledge to successfully structure soccer environments for children aged 4-12.

Course pre-requisites: Candidates must hold a U.S. Soccer National E License.
