North Texas Soccer, through it's Referee Program, provides an effective and efficient service to the soccer community which ensures games will be officiated at a competent level throughout all age groups. The complete program covers the administration, education, assignment and performance analysis of a Referee as he progresses in his career with North Texas Soccer.
How do I become a referee?
Throughout the year the State Referee Committee, Referee Chairman and referees from around the area are asked the question, “How do I become a referee?” The answer is simple, attend and successfully complete a referee training program. North Texas and its’ member associations offer two entry level programs for individuals interested in becoming a referee. Let’s take a minute and discuss both options. [Read more]
How do I get recertified as a Grade 8 or Grade 9 referee?
Grade 8 and 9 referees are required to attend a Recert clinic and a pass a written exam with a score of 75 or better. You can then register with North Texas and the United States Soccer Federation. Referees that are 18 years of age or older must also complete the Risk Management documentation on the North Texas website. [Read more]
