FRISCO, Texas (April 20, 2017)- North Texas Soccer players Blaine Ferri and Bryan Reynolds Jr. have been chosen to be a part of the 20-player roster chosen by United States Under-17 Men’s National Team head coach John Hackworth to compete in the 2017 CONCACAF U-17 Championship in Panama, which will run from April 21-May 7.

The CONCACAF U-17 Championship also doubles as the qualifying tournament for the 2017 FIFA U-17 World Cup, which will take place in India in October. The U.S. U-17 MNT will begin playing on April 23 against Jamaica, looking to qualify for its 16th trip to the U-17 World Cup. All three of the USA’s games will be streamed live on the CONCACAF Facebook page.

Ferri was a mainstay on the Under-17 Men’s National Team last year, starting in a majority of the matches as a midfielder. He started all four matches in the Mondial Tournament, where U.S. took first place. Ferri has recorded assists against England, Russia, and Belgium youth teams and scored two goals in separate games against Costa Rica in October. Ferri, a Southlake, Texas native, plays his youth soccer with Solar Soccer Club, where he reached the semifinals of the 2013 US Youth Soccer North Texas State Cup. In addition, Ferri competed in the US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) from 2011-2013 and participated in US Youth Soccer Region III ODP Camps.

Bryan Reynolds Jr. became the 17th homegrown player for FC Dallas in November of 2016 – and was one of the youngest signed players ever at age 15. The Little Elm, Texas native played his youth soccer with Samba FC before playing in the FC Dallas youth system, reaching the 2013 North Texas Soccer State Cup semifinals. Reynolds Jr. split time between the Under-16 and Under-17 MNT while in the Residency Program in 2016, recording goals against Costa Rica and Jamaica for the Under-17 team at the end of the year. Both players are veterans of the U.S. Soccer Residency Program in Bradenton, Florida after playing in 2016.
