FRISCO, Texas (May 8, 2018) –  The third day of preliminary play at the 2018 US Youth Soccer North Texas Soccer State Cup, the premier club soccer competition in North Texas, is now complete as 44 of 175 teams continued group play with the hopes of claiming a state championship and the opportunity to advance to the 2018 US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Championships.

Teams in the 11-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups will play at Richland College and the University of Texas at Dallas. Champions will be crowned May 13, with the winners in the 13-Under through 19-Under boys and girls age groups representing North Texas at the 2018 Southern Regional Championships at Bryan Park Soccer Complex in Greensboro, N.C. from June 22-28, 2018.

North Texas Soccer State Cup champions will join the other State Cup champions, US Youth Soccer Southern Regional Premier League winners and select wildcards at the Southern Regional Championships. Regional winners will then represent the South Region at the 2018 US Youth Soccer National Championships held at Toyota Soccer Center in Frisco Texas on July 24-29.

14-Under Boys
Dallas Texans 04 South notched its first win of the tournament with a 4-1 victory over 2017 North Texas State Cup champions Chelsea East SC 04, while 2017 State Cup semi-finalist FC Dallas 04 Premier moved to the top of Group A with a 3-0 win against Barcelona SC 04. In Group B, Dallas Texans 04 Fort Worth and FC Dallas 04 West are tied at the top of the standings after FC Dallas battled Fever United 04 Nichols to a scoreless draw, while Dallas Texans defeated FC Dallas 04 Gold 3-1. AYSES 04 Gold outlasted Liverpool 04 Toshack 1-0 to claim its first win in Group C. Defending State Cup champions FC Dallas 04 East Gold moved into second place in Group E after edging out 2017 State Cup semi-finalists Dallas Texans 04 Dallas 1-0.

15-Under Girls
Solar 03 Grado moved to the top of Group C and secured a spot in the semifinals with a 4-1 win against 2017 State Cup semi-finalists Sting West 03 Khan.

15-Under Boys
FC Dallas 03 Premier and Colleyville SA Evolution 03 remained at the top of Group A after both sides earned shut-out victories. FC Dallas 03 Premier won 2-0 over FC Dallas 03 Central White, while Colleyville Evolution defeated FC Dallas 03 Blue 1-0. Defending State Cup champs FC Premier 03 sits alone at the top of Group B after a tight 2-1 win against Azzuri FC 03. 2017 State Cup semi-finalists FC Dallas 03 Central moved to the top of Group C after a 5-0 win against FC Dallas 03 Silver.

16-Under Girls
Dallas Texans 02 Dallas earned its first win of the tournament with a 2-0 victory over Frisco Fusion 02. 2017 State Cup finalists Sting Dallas 02 Flanagan moved up the standings in Group B courtesy of a 6-1 win against DFeeters Kicks 02 Esquive.

16-Under Boys
AYSES 02 Gold and Odyssey SC 02 both obtained semifinals spots after wins on Tuesday. 2017 State Cup semifinalists Odyssey defeated Solar 02 Sawyer 6-1, while AYSES 02 Gold won 4-0 against FC Dallas 04 West. 2017 State Cup semi-finalists FC Dallas 02 Premier used a big win over Frisco Fusion 02 to set up a showdown with FC Dallas 02 Red on Thursday to determine who will advance to the semifinals.

17-Under Boys
2017 State Cup finalists FC Dallas 01 Premier remained in contention for a semifinals spot after a 4-0 win against Solar 01 Fagen.

18-Under Girls
AYSES East 00 Gold secured a 2-1 win against Revolution SC 00 Duarte. All four teams in Group B are 1-1, setting up a huge set of games on Thursday to determine who will head to the semifinals.

18-Under Boys
2017 State Cup finalists FC Dallas 00 Boys were defeated 2-1 by Anoranzas FC 00. FC Dallas has already secured a spot in the semifinals with a match between Solar 00 Passos and Anoranza determining who will join them.

19-Under Girls
Defending State Cup champions Solar 99 Grado secured a spot in the finals after a 2-1 win against Invictus SC 99. Invictus will play FC Dallas 99 East on Thursday to determine who meets Solar in the finals.
