U6/U8 Youth Module
 
Target Group: U6 thru U8
 
Classroom: Self-paced Internet classroom with topics on child development, philosophy of coaching, role of the youth coach, injury care/prevention, parent management, and small sided games.
 
Field Session: 2.5 hours of field activities with the last 30 minutes optional for practice coaching with coaches/players. Field activities are dribbling, passing and receiving, shooting, fun activities for these age groups, and small side game demonstration.

Prerequisite for Field Sessions: Completion of the On-Line Coaching Course

U10/U12 Youth Module

Classroom: Self-paced Internet classroom with topics on child development, philosophy of coaching, identifying needs of the player, injury care/prevention, team/parent management, organization of practice, and small sided games.
 
Field Session: 6 hours of field activities with the last 30 minutes optional for practice coaching with coaches/players. Field activities are dribbling, passing and receiving, shooting, heading, goal keeping, fun activities for these age groups, and the use of small sided games in practice.

*Waiver Policy for National D
All waivers to take the National "D" License without prior clinics will be determined by the Director of Coaching and Player Development. To obtain a waiver, send a resume to the NTSSA office with all of your previous soccer experience.

To obtain a waiver you must be coaching a U12-16 Competitive Team and at least one of the following:
High School Coach
 
Played Soccer in College for 4 years
