Referee Recertification Requirements

How do I Get Recertified?

Grade 8 and 9 referees are required to attend a Recert clinic and a pass a written exam with a score of 75 or better.  You can then register with North Texas and the United States Soccer Federation.  Referees that are 18 years of age or older must also complete the Risk Management documentation on the North Texas website. 

The first opportunity to recertify is at the All Referee Meeting.  This clinic is held in the DFW area in July.  Other Recert clinics are requested by the member associations several weeks to a month or more in advance.  The clinics begin in September and run through December.  A link to the current list of available clinics can be found below.  Keep in mind, the list is being updated constantly, so keep checking back till you find what you’re looking for.
